Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern use of the Grey Hornbill tee time booking platform, operated by Plus Bytes ("Plus Bytes," "Grey Hornbill," "we," "us"). By using our booking widget, calling our AI voice assistant, or having a booking made on your behalf by a golf course's staff, you agree to these Terms. Please also see our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

Who these Terms apply to

• Golf course operators who use Grey Hornbill to manage tee time bookings, under a separate agreement with Plus Bytes covering subscription terms and fees.
• Golfers who book a tee time at a partner course by phone, web widget, or through course staff. This section is the one most relevant to you.

The service

Grey Hornbill lets you check tee time availability and book a reservation at a participating golf course by phone (using an AI voice assistant, which may be branded with a course-specific name), through a booking widget on the course's website, or with help from course staff. Bookings are subject to the individual course's own policies (cancellation windows, group size limits, pricing, and course rules), which we do not control.

SMS, WhatsApp, and email messaging terms

When you provide a phone number to book a tee time and opt in to receive text messages, you agree to receive one transactional confirmation message from us related to that booking.

• Message frequency: one confirmation message per booking.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
• Opt-out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving SMS messages. Reply HELP for assistance.
• No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with the service providers who deliver these messages on our behalf, solely for that purpose, is not considered third-party marketing sharing.
• These messages are transactional, not marketing, and relate only to a booking you made or requested.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We're not responsible for issues caused by your carrier, device, or network.

Our AI voice assistant

Our voice assistant is an automated system, not a human staff member, even when it uses a name chosen by the golf course. It checks live availability and books tee times based on what you say during the call. Calls may be recorded and transcribed to complete your booking and improve service quality — see our Privacy Policy for details.

Accuracy of booking information

You're responsible for providing accurate booking details — name, phone number, date, time, and number of players. We and the golf course are not responsible for a missed or incorrect booking caused by inaccurate information you provided.

Cancellations and changes

Cancellation policies, no-show rules, and rescheduling terms are set by the individual golf course, not by Plus Bytes. Contact the course directly, or use the booking channel you originally booked through, to change or cancel a reservation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Grey Hornbill to submit false booking requests, to abuse or overload the voice assistant or booking widget, or to attempt to access another person's booking information without authorization.

No warranty

Grey Hornbill is provided "as is." While we work to keep availability accurate and bookings reliable, we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we're not responsible for a golf course's own scheduling, staffing, or course-condition decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Plus Bytes is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the booking platform, including a missed tee time caused by factors outside our reasonable control.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as our platform evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
